Water-Logged
It is 11:50pm on Nov. the 18th and I got back from work a little less than an hour ago after swimming and sitting in the steam room once I clocked out at 10pm. I started off the session with 15 minutes in the steam room to loosen the shoulders up a little and then swam 1000 meters continuously. Last night I put in 500M followed up by a quicker 250M. For now I'm just trying to amp up my swimming distances over the off-season. Tonight's swim was quite pleasant with me disturbing the serene glass of a pool because nobody else was anywhere in the pool facility, save for the front desk girls walking through during their shift, for the whole 15 minute swim. Tomorrow I'm thinking I will do about 4 x 50 meter sprints and then lift some weights. For now I'm going to go unwind by reading before going to sleep. Goodnight!

First Post
I just wanted to create a blog like my friend Will Ritter to keep friends, family, and sponsors up to date on what I'm doing, whether that be training, racing, or just random thoughts for the day.
Since the first weekend of October I've had a race of some sort nearly every weekend up until this weekend. First off was the 15K Red River Revel (3rd overall, 1st age group), then the Fireant Festival 5K (2nd overall) and then 45 mile bike race right after (4th overall), then the Autumn Breeze 10K (3rd overall/ 1st age group), then the Monster Triathlon in Ft. Worth (4th out of 560 and 1st age group), and then lastly the Riverside V [mile] run last weekend which was the RRCA Louisiana State Championship (5th/133 overall and 1st age group). My left knee is definately feeling it though, since I was wearing 4 oz. racing flats that have no support whatsoever and I didn't wear any socks... I know, not too smart of me. Thanks to my first sponsor, East Texas Sports Center in Marshall, I will soon be getting a pair, or more, of Asics running shoes and Asics clothing in the near future.
Yesterday I went out and rode 16.4 miles around Longview and today put in 42 miles with a couple of friends from the Longview Bicycle Club. Until next weekend I'm going to take off and just swim and lift weights to give the knee a rest, seeing as how towards the last few miles my knee started having a shooting pain in it. Time for a little R&R on it.
